Thank You For Loving Me

Yesterday....
My Mother Gave Birth To Me
35 Years ago.

We celebrated
Quietly
No cake or party hats.

We celebrated life

And Since It Was
My Birthday,
I chose to pay respect
To the parents that Loved Me
And taught me To Cherish And Love Life
Not Slay it in hatred.

I will spend the rest of my life
Thanking them.
Not just for bringing me into the world
For Caring enough to share their world
In the most Humanly giving fashion.

I can only imagine
There is a special place
In heaven for them.

As there is a hell
For all those that do otherwise.

I can only honor them
By continuing the gift.

Thank you Sunshine. As it was coincidental on my 1001 post. I hadn't even been paying attention. So glad I used it to pay tribute to my parents. So glad to be a part of this family also. Hugs!

Dear Regina, HAPPY BIRTHDAY for yesterday, and still young though now thirty five. You penned some lovely words here, your parents would be proud of the daughter who shares her most inner self through words from the heart. I am sure there is a place for us all in heaven where we will all meet some day, to rekindle the flames of friendships of those already long departed.
Hope you made a special wish on the day, I hope you are well, enjoying family, work and life.
