Patchwork

I’m resting
in the comfort
of a friend
with who’s layers
I somehow blend
the one brave enough
to tell me what I need
unafraid our fabric
will fray at the deed
warming me from the chill
with blunt stitches
another square placed
woven it enriches
stained cloth from sleeves
caused by tears
now collective pieces
patchwork of joy and fears
quilting me in strength
through good and bad
shadow of my soul
you’re the best friend
I ever had

Really loved this piece. Each friendship a piece of a quilt.. a true friendship quilt.
