                  9 1 1

(8:45 am)  9 1 1, The calls come in,
                  A plane has hit the Trade Center.
                  A fiery explosion shatters this morn,
                  Nothing could be done to prevent her.

                  Police and firemen arrive on the scene
                  Surveying the safest approach,
                  To rescue survivors on the upper floors,
                  And to evacuate this structural reproach.

(9:03 am)  9 1 1, New calls of distress,
                 South tower also hit by a plane,
                 Panic reigns among this destruction,
                 Rescue workers now struggle in vain.

(9:43 am) 9 1 1 , Another plane has crashed!
                 This time on the Pentagon,
                 Terrorist wreak their havoc,
                 How smooth their plan has gone!

(10:00 am) 9 1 1, Southeast of Pittsburgh,
                   A hijacked plane has crashed,
                   Away from a strategic target,
                   This terrorist plan was dashed.

(10:05 am) South tower of Trade Center falls,
                   Collapses in a plume of ash,
                   Forfeiting chance of rescues,
                   Killing rescue workers at their task.
(10:28 am) The north tower now follows suit
                   Collapsing under structural fatigue,
                   Entombing the innocent victims,
                   No chance for their lives to be freed.

                   9 1 1,  A new call goes out,
                   From a wounded, startled Nation,
                   Only this time the call goes UP,
                   To our God, about this desecration.

                   9 1 1, Dear God we pray,
                   Spare us this enemy's wrath,
                   Please Father, hear our prayers,
                   Save us from destructions path.

                   9 1 1, We seek your peace,
                   Your wisdom and your way,
                   That our nation may survive,
                   This evil laden day.
