We,
both angry
stared down reality
resolutely
aware, yet
uncaring
of the other's
needs
caring, yet
unaware
how the other
grieved~ or knew
if somehow, one of us
reached out,
we could remove
all doubt
but
we clung
to obstinate views
in painful separation
until I broke,
then he kissed me...
