I went to sleep in America was awakened into hell She said, ‘You won’t believe what has happened’ I thought maybe the dog had been run over by a car I was wrong I went to work in America though not what I wanted to do it was good to have a temporary distraction some comfort not to be alone I was occupied I came home and witnessed a foreign land upon the television screen kept telling myself with horror but a few miles away the place that I call home I am alive |
