work whatever work
that works and needs to be done
as here we are beneath the sky
beyond the setting sun
our faces turned up into light
in prisms geometrically
reflected in our fright

please work whatever work you can
as here i reach my arms and hand
to hold each ev'ry one of you

i'm blind and scared
as plots ensue

humanity our link of touch
i love you all so very much
and here i am now questioning
the why they why the WHY the sting
of death while life is so anon.....

we're here
and we're still hanging on........
