Shoals of Antiquity

Thunder rumbles through my vital
Bolts of lightening light entitle.
While here upon my shoal and shore
I dwell upon the evermore.

Lost in my pupate sense of mime
I skate upon the sands of time.
Conjuring the wonder of the past
And wondering how long mine will last?

I find no answers in the real
Only fantasies with appeal
But wiling cannot stay the day
Nor butterflies show the way.

The abyss draws me to its rim
As the light lowers to a dim
Horizons gall and curtains fall
And still I hear no angels call.

I’ll go, where all have gone before
Where all have gone and known no more?

never underestimate the magic of butterflies, angels, or poetry.
I need to believe in all of them today...
love you Sy

Well I looked to the sky for my anthem
The words and the music came through
But words and music can never touch
The beauty that I've seen in you
