This is dedicated to all the people like me who have ever experienced insomnia or plain old, rude disruption while trying to get some sleep.

Sleep Deprivation
Nonstop Frustration
The cause?
Aggravation

This pillow has lost it's comfort
Can't seem to get any shut eye
The sound of my faint breaths overtaken
By the barking dog outside

What an inconsiderate owner
To let his dog roam with no leash
If I wasn't so exhausted
I'd phone the police

This is becoming a nightly habbit
While I count my sheep
Do I make noise outside his doghouse
When he is trying to sleep?!

No silence
No Sleep
My inner voice
won't stop talking to me

What would a heart be like
If actually made of gold?
My feet manage to slip out from my blanket
but I despise the feeling when they are cold

I must be getting tired
to be thinking all this
My eyelids surrender to gravity
I'm begining to drift

Ahh!! God no!
That piercing bark again
I suffocate my head with this limp pilow
An endless battle with my late night friend

Um.. yeah .. been there... It keeps you writing though..

A muzzle for the dog, or earplugs for you... Take  your choice, my friend...

Who Let The Dogs Out?!! Whoof Whoof!! Good one. Chris

You captured the feeling here very well.....the only good thing about not being able to sleep is in the very early morning hours here, the aussies are on line and they are some fun floks.

It is such a terrible feeling and you have captured it well.....

Well now, you just penned my nightime aggravation in such a perfect way!!!  I love dogs dearly, but have often wondered why they don't seem to ever wake their owners, instead of innocent neighbors, trying to sleep!!!

The road goes on forever, and the stories never end...

Say, who did let those dogs out? (big hugggssssss) Oh Joanna, I'm so sorry you have to go through this sometimes, I too have dogs barking in my neighborhood or it's too hot in my room and I can't get to sleep either! (kiss on lips) Sooooooo beautifully penned, sweet friend, I love you soooooo much! (kisses on lips) You have such a beautiful heart, my love, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
