 Don't Lose Sight It's surely ok to cry to the heavens for strength When the world lays it's unfair hands upon you It's ok to fall to your knees with unbelievable grief Just don't lose sight of our memories whatever you do... It's ok to bow your head in hopes of a better path One that leads you directly to my door It's ok to wish that our tomorrow's will somehow end Just don't lose sight of the reasons we're fighting for... It is ok to build your walls enclosed with only safe ways To hide yourself from the pain you've carried for years Make it high enough to shelter your breaking heart Just don't lose sight of the love that draws you here... It's ok to fall, so hard, when there's very little light From the darkness that surrounds your entire view I know your eyes can't see beyond present fear you hold Just don't lose sight of those loved ones you so matter to... It's ok to immerse yourself into intense lonely nights And, lie against restless thoughts every hour through I know misery floods the moments in the extreme silence there Just don't lose sight that I am lying awake, too... It's ok to drown yourself in anger for what the world has done Just take me with you, My Girl, when you hopelessly run I know the distance ahead just never seems to be close enough Just don't lose sight of my promises and how much you are loved...
