 eyes of Athena, look upon me and bless me in your wisdom, grant to me one in service to your city Athens the strength to emerge from the battle in victory daughter of Zeus, born of wisdom and might from the head of the great god, clad in armor and ready for battle, watch over me as I fight for your glory and the freedom of all Athens Pallas Athena, glorious in battle and merciful in your wisdom, Athena Nike, bringer of victory over the enemies of your name Athena Parthenos, virtuous in honor and spotless in being look on me this night with your eyes of flashing gray and bless me my song ends now oh Goddess great and wise I hope to sing it to you again in victory ------------------------------------------------------------------ To the world, you may only be one person. But to one person, you may be the world. |

Very interesting Sven... well written. There were a lot of references, but I felt that you could have done a bit more with each one than you did. This poem had a lot of content and it might have been longer. Still, as it is, it's a great poem! Nicely done! ~Allan They call me a madman, but I'm not mad at anyone. |
