Every night I go to sleep with hopes that I be rid of me. Every day I wake again and everything is still the same. Each wish I have is petal pulled from a flower unfulfilled. There is a gnawing grows in me-- a tempest tossed within the sea-- There is a sail that I've not set-- a safeguard for the things not met. I have three masts--yet sail by two. I keep it safe for storm of you. Should tsunami come for me-- I'll let loose the slack; swallowing the salt of sea, coughing up the sands of fact. I'll tie myself unto this boat.. with protest stuck within my throat. I'll raise the flag of piracy, and hold my breath to stay afloat. I will rise within the tide and again will I recede... I will, I will be anything that I think you need... Lonely is the northern star when one is lost at sea. A pinpoint of a heaven's gate-- redeem what's left of me. Let the ocean be my grave if all my sin should be forgave. Let the fishes eat my flesh, and may the Gods forgive the rest... |

Hmm you wanted a new title? How about Caught In the Storm? or Thunderstorm "Each wish I have is petal pulled from a flower unfulfilled. I like that thought..I am a rose, pull off each of my petals sweetie and I still will love you : ) <3 RosePetal Good Poem!!! |
