Don’t ask me if I will talk to you for a few minutes--
You know I’d carry on a conversation with you forever.
Don’t ever doubt if I’m satisfied with this life--
My only essential goal is to be right for your smile.
The moon is hanging there for your approval;
The stars put on that show to astound you.
The earth coordinates its revolution
Around the ambiance of your expressions.
Why do you marvel at the turning in of the sun?
The hues lose their seduction next to your eyes’ glimmer.
How could you be in awe of the overshadowing shine?
The scent of your spirit eclipses the brightest of galaxies.
Not a cloud in the sky dares come close;
The birds sing only choice melodies when you arrive.
The ocean measures its tides and mists precisely
To reach your feet when you wander the beach
And stroke your face as you focus on the deep.
Don’t ask me if I will talk to you for a few minutes--
You know I’d carry on a conversation with you forever.
Don’t ever doubt if I’m satisfied with this life--
My only essential goal is to be right for your smile.

tried to write a letter
to tell you how I feel,
but all I kept on writing
was slipping on the tears from the day...
