Promises Holding onto shredded past Aching fingers, sharpened mind Sorrow thoughts what doesn't last Only shadows does one find. Cycling wheels, the season's gone Of Summer's wants, Falls rushing in Touch not the soul, to come undone That warmth of hands, withholding sin. Comes around, that face in dark Silhouetted, shadows walk Once-met timing, caught off-guard Words in print becomes shared talk. Promises suspend in holding Leafing out, treasure's unfolding. ~smiling~ *Edie* for a day "The worst prison would be a closed heart". |

A poem whose each re-read discloses a little bit more... it set my cycles spinning, encouraging thought, which is always a good thing, in my book. Nicely penned, Wynter. -MVS "It's all in the details -- the Big Picture always takes care of itself." |
