It's been like an age since I've seen you as I wonder why you haven't called and wonder where it was I went wrong Was I guilty of loving you too much? Were you drowning in the excesses of my love or did you merely move onto greener pastures? My heart feels like an empty shell as I sit here and remember all the wonderful times we shared You unearthed a side of me that I hadn't even seen myself You made me realise that I had so much to give as my feelings were revealed through my written words How naked I felt as I exposed myself on paper and lay out my heart and soul for all to see But you saw more of me than anyone as you encouraged me and I was guided by your love Now you have gone and I remain here with my words and my troubled mind How very true it is that some people come into our lives and so quickly some go leaving footprints in our hearts so we are never ever the same You left a mark on my heart that can never be erased and I only hope that you still have some fond memories of me that you might keep in a small corner of your heart Suetang |

Bitter-sweet....on one hand to help her grow and be more than before and on the other hand leaving "foot prints on my heart"....that would make a great title for a follow up poem. You balanced the pain and the sweetness very well. Death comes not when we cease to breathe, but when we cease to dream. [This message has been edited by The Rusty Knight (edited 09-05-2001).] |

I read the vulnerability of being in love in your words. And I appreciate the validity of your question. Though, I must say you are more gracious in loss that most. Very good write. |

Another snapshot in my photo-album entitled "Things To Which I Can Relate"... True to your style, you have captured feelings and truths in a most real manner, Sue. -MVS "It's all in the details -- the Big Picture always takes care of itself." |
