She appeared one night as a passing vision, And brought her love for all to see. The fine features that drew my attention Became more beautiful with every glance. Her smile, as though it were drawn from my subconscious By an artist in my dreams. Her eyes, as warm as a loving touch When needed most. Her skin, as soft and smooth As a breath upon your cheek; I was captivated. Though I knew it could never be, I dared to dream. Laid credence to possibilities And ached for something That was never really there. Like the thin wisp of smoke That remembers the bright flame From moments ago, She was gone. She appeared one night as a passing vision, And left her beauty within my soul. A place no one else can reach. |

Paula - Thank you. It's nice to be back and it's nice to see familiar faces too. Sure is busy around here these days! Glad you liked the poem. Krawdad - It was the only way to describe the moment. *sigh* Quite a poetic reply! Thanks for making time for me. JM - Ache and sincerity are definitely appropriate descriptors. Thanks so much for the welcome back and taking the time to reply. Trev. |

Trew~ 'She appeared one night as a passing vision, And left her beauty within my soul. A place no one else can reach.'
