The Shores of Alone

0 posted 2001-09-03 10:36 PM

Tonight I try to find a way
to justify my life and day
it sometimes seems futility
to carry on so fruitlessly..

Yet carry on we have to do
theres nothing else to comfort you
Just words and dreams and maybe hope
the only things with which to cope..

Somewhere in time there is a plan
the meaning which will make it stand
If only answers will come soon
before the next lonely blue moon.

So now I go to bed to dream
and know that nothing else will seem
to be the life I want so bad
the love I've never really had...

I think poets feel emotions deeper than most people...I can only hope the lady in this poem finds here soulmate...very touching

Death comes not when we cease to breathe, but when we cease to dream.

cat,

Tonight you surely dream alone
as must we all, it is our home.
Tomorrow morn when light is shown
go we again this endless roam.

(Hoping, nevertheless, this goal be met)

this is a bittersweet, sincere write wrapped in rhyme...
Sandra you have poetically encompassed the many emotions of a poet who writes to find release and fill the losses and voids with their hearts expressions.
I know all who read this relate to it.
Well done poetess Cat

Sandra,
How beautifully spoken, and I know so many can relate.  Our dreams bring us comfort, so never cease in dreaming.  And never give up on the real life dreams either...KTDA....

Catalinamoon, you've such a way of expressing emotions, just beautiful sweet girl.

So now I go to bed to dream
and know that nothing else will seem
to be the life I want so bad
the love I've never really had

Be sure it will come to you dear, it's out there, I just know.

Wistful and contemplative with some points to  consider...  Somewhere between the two lies the bridge -- now it's simply a matter of discovering it.  Beautifully written.
