After Dinner As the candlelight flickers in the darkness And catches the essence of your brown skin I see myself drifting, getting lost in your eyes All while holding your hand. A fresh cool breeze blows through the window And whisks through your velvety hair You throw your head back and smile And you inhale the godly refreshing air. You speak with a voice that's so serene And it plays a blissfully sweet melody in my ear I hang onto every word that parts your smile And each seems to gesture for me to come near. I kiss you ever so gently on your scented wrist And gaze one last time into your eyes I turn and look towards the heavens As I lay my head upon your thigh. Garfield |
