Love Penitentiary

I’m serving a life sentence because hell is all I've been through since Coming to this Prison called love,
All I used to know means nothing, all memories, evaporated and floated high above.
The ball and chain on me in the form of my son...using my love for him as a means to make me return.
Love.......... No such thing....... It is just a mindstate,
Masking all the things that are going wrong, putting you in a state of denial.
Cruel intentions start to look like acts of an angel.. Love makes you see things through rose colored glasses......
You only see the truth when you are out of loves grasp.
Eternally yours I was supposed to be...what happened to those days,
Forever never seemed that long until the day I removed those rose colored shades,
Seeing how you treated me.... Made me realize being with you was just a phase.....Of course I will still be around because I have a son to raise..But like I said...you and me..... What we had.... Was just a phase,
Love.............
Love isn’t for me.................
Love is a mindstate.........
Love is a penitentiary

A man who asks a woman to lie for him, is a man who will lie to that woman.
A woman who lies for a man, is a woman who lies to herself.
