where insanity meets breeding

Some would say this Sunday was a day like any other
I would say that isn't true - today I found my lover
My lover is my joy for life - something that I'd forgot
I don't know on which path of life it somehow had got lost
But here I am this Sunday - and oh what a happy day
I'm full of joie de vivre my friend, and gonna stay that way
Started with the usual things - a shower and blow dry
But something deep inside of me was singing mighty high
Called up some good friends of mine and said we'd meet at two
so I got into my little car and blasted 80's tunes
Was driving down the streets of town blasting El Costello
And inside this little car I'm singing with a bellow
Then this compilation tape goes into English Beat
I'm dancing in my little car (with arms though, not with feet)
Other drivers stare at me and I don't give a toss
Cause I have found my joy inside that I had thought was lost
Stop for gas and pumping fast, a wasp does follow me
With both hands I am swatting and dancing crazily
Other folks on King Street think that I am some psycho
I stop my dance and pay my cash, back on the road I go
I drive on down the highway with the wind blown through my hair
Arriving at my good friends house with other friends out there
We sit out on the patio and laugh and talk and drink
Talking bout the good old days, and politics I think
Found something out bout buddy Steve that we share with each other
So we're gonna put a website up and call it "Ode to Butter"
Me and Liz did reminisce about our high school days
We thought that we were cool to drink scotch with pink lemonade
Then I said that it has been such fun, but I'm calling it a day
Cannot drink too much and drive, so must be on my way
Get back in my little car, the highway I must drive
I'm having so much fun now that the clock hits 1-3-5
Better slow it down because the cops are on the rumble
Already got me last year - my insurance it did double
Sitting in the drivers seat, The Pogues on my cassette
I know that this has been a day that I'll not soon forget
Cause it has been a perfect day just sitting in the sun
I think that the next chapter of my life has just begun

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?

*S* We all need a few days like this and folks to tell us about them.
