Nuptial Plumage
~*Marge Tindal*~

Ornately plumed, this bird of white
Casmerodius albus. to get it right
The feathering of the Great Egret
in nuptial plumes, called aigrettes

A bird so lovely, all who see
stand in awe at the majesty
Ornately adorned plumage is best
for feathering so fine of future nest

What wondrous creatures, those egrets!
Walking gingerly on stilts all day,
With absolutely no regrets!

I enjoyed your poem very much.

I stand in awe at the majesty of your writing, a vivid picture you have painted with your words!

I love these poems about nature that you write Marge.  I sometimes wish that there were more of them posted here. They seem to give my heart a real lift! This is beautiful!!
Sometimes it gets a little to much overworked on the love theme here and I am one of the greatest offenders.

Have a nice day!
