Nobody hears my cries
but I know I'm still alive
somehow the lies I told
never stopped me from being bold

Nobody knows I'm here
I exist in my own fears
there's skin I feel that's mine
I wonder how I ever did shine

Nobody knows my name
as I slip into shame
people notice that something's gone
but do not realize it's my song

Nobody wants me
but me and that's not fine
the door just opened
and closed again just in time
I reached for the knob
to invite the stranger in
but they disapeerd without a word or smile
