in forgotten pipe more joy in a cut-straw, wisdom in a windowpane-- dutiful in clench of jaw. More truth I've found with one arm bound and tightening of vein-- at least I knew the purity-- and the rules of game. don't lie to me. They tell me what they are. More careful measured than our words is medicine within my jar... within a red-haired bud--- and I own a PDR to gauge the strength of drug. With just one taste of pinky-- I can name the cut. Dextrose--glucose..lactose--worse? Anything but love... even whores know where to stand. Laws among the lawless by Draconian command. The chemicals leave bitter taste but at least the tongue I understand-- and I have seen more justice done in the lawless land... [This message has been edited by serenity (edited 08-29-2001).] |

Seen plenty of deceit in the lawless land too. The age of aquarius when a peace sign gave a warm feeling is long past. Bodies found floating or in alleys is a bit too stark a reality. People are people and there are liars even in churches. |

I don't often tell why I write a poem, but this particular piece was an answer to a "new friend" who disdains "my old friends"-was quite an interesting evening and conversation! Thank you all! |

I came back to thank my boyfriend...believe it or not---who not only read this one, understands it and LOVES it...he should. We lived it together. So thanks GB--for understanding politically incorrect as a protest. YOU made me smile...(goodies for YOU tonight!) |

Yes, I have found wisdom in a window pane Ah the memories. Very powerful write. Hope the new friend can understand. Where we have been brings us to where we are now. Hopefully stronger and wiser. Tracey If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please? |
