We enter the pyramid at it's non threatening pinnacle aloft and in light. Pass a sundial whose meaning, whose shadows significance, is beyond our grasp. So we find it quaint. Coursing a widening oblique, a decrescendo where the muting is offset by echos of the widening polygon. Clear mirrored walls reflect perfect images of youthful enthusiasm. We descend the subtle escarpment accompanied by a roundelay, a pat on the back its assurance in repitition. Increasingly abtruse we pass a diorama of debauchery its backing warped reflection, amusing yet disconcerting. We obfuscate awareness behind the subconscious partition screened from view. Becoming cognizant that the journey's a labyrinth, we lessen the notion that we are quarry in it's maze and convince ourselves we're spelunkers on an adventure. The music now ritardando, mirrors distorted as carnivals, we enmesh in rancor. Enigma solved, not an abyss but a vast quagmire, dark quietus. |
