![]() Barbary Royal Among luscious green land, capped by mountain white lived then King of kings, and his lovely queen of might where Eden, thus a carpet, their paws trod path’s delights even in coolest darkness, you could hear their call of night Strolled the potent of the mighty, a regal lion birthed the largest of his kind, having roamed this heady earth while his lifelong mate of class, bears cubs of royalty feeds them rich sweet milk, and all live as family They stood before the test of man, greeting his invade eyeing their two legged stand, did not attempt evade now their carpets green have gone barren by mankind so look into their history, and you too shall see signs Their lands are bleak and barren, given substantial waste man had come about them, brought with them their race two legged men took the royal King, and ringed to slavery the mightiest of the mighty, casting forth his bravery Egyptians and Persians explored the Mount Atlas home of the Royal Lion, soon mankind trespassed all of their sanctuary, all that then was their home soon the Barbary Royal, had no place to roam Men had thought bravery lie in acts of killing took upon the hunt, the lions were not willing but thousands died by the swift sword of men history then repeated these vilest acts again Soon the Roman Empire brought the King of Beasts before tables were laden, public treated to such feasts as blood’s sport, then games, the gladiators fought as Royal Lion’s fee, more than a slave’s fee brought Thousands of Royal Barbary lived only come to die upon the sword of Romans who ruled neath earth and sky in monuments of stone the Romans bestowed quick death on the plains where green is gone, soon they numbered less Past the plains of Barbary, the lion swift has fled into lands of nothingness, filled with stark and dread now the claim of mighty beast lay in hands of true all that would bring its mighty rule back to best is you now we have the conscience, and science at its best to bring forth once again, the might King of Beasts look into your heart, and see to hear the roar the chance to see Royalty walk the plains once more ![]() ~*~ See this link to read more about the Barbary Lions http://www.rocky-nala-fanclub.org/index.html |
