(This was written for a friend who lost a son)

Every day a loved one
Leaves before their time.
One dark day this summer,
That beloved one was mine.

Every day since you've been gone
The sun still warms the sky.
The wind still blows, the flowers grow,
I sit and wonder why.

I watch them out the window.
I watch them hurry by.
Don't they know my son is gone?
Don't they … ask God why!?

Before that awful day,
I was among those rushing by.
I did not know you'd lost your love
I never saw you cry.

Now I know your pain dear friend
I know what you've been through
Instead of each alone dear friend
Let's join and now be two.

'Cause in the morn the sun will rise
As it has for many years.
The sun still rises every day
Despite the mourners tears.

We'll hold on tight to those who weep
We'll help them through the dark.
And get them to the place and time
Where life regains it's spark

Bobby dear, I miss you so
You had so much to give.
I’ll always keep you in my heart
While helping others live.

To all the others loved and lost
We share your loved ones pain.
We know how bad they hurt for you
We'll help them live again.

No one ever listened themselves into trouble.

your words touched me deeply and brought some tears up, it is terrible to loose a loved one, especially if it is one of your kids....nothing stranger than to see how lifes goes on, while the world stop turning.

Wish you and your friends strength and my sympathy.

((warm hugs))

Exceptionally presented.

...Before that awful day,
I was among those rushing by.
I did not know you'd lost your love
I never saw you cry...

In time the pain will ease and be replaced with sweet memories. I hope the best for your friend.

This expresses such compassion and love, and must be very comforting to the one who is grieving. And a gentle reminder to all of us :
"Before that awful day,
I was among those rushing by.
I did not know you'd lost your love
I never saw you cry."
To take time to comfort those in pain is the essence of being human.

Thank you all so much for your kind words, we all want so badly to help & comfort those we know who hurt but we really can't. It would be so great to help those we DON'T know as well.

No one ever listened themselves into trouble.
