Cause To Remember ~
White Buffalo Calf Woman ~
~*Marge Tindal*~

With feather-light heart I take pause.
Time to remember another cause.

When the White Buffalo Calf Woman
comes to reclaim the bundle,
lightning will flash, thunder will rumble.

When all is over the calm begins.
The prophecy has come,
the harmony will know no end.

An awakening of equal measure
will spread across the land.
White Buffalo Calf Woman reappears
joining tribal hands.

We will stand on land
once ours, now returned.
White Buffalo Calf born ~ the vision will be done.

'Toksha ake wacinyanktin ktelo'

*In the land of the Lakota, the legend of
the vision of White Buffalo Calf Woman resides.
The prophecy originated when a sacred bundle, containing
a sacred peace pipe, was brought to the people about 2,000 years ago
by the vision known as the White Buffalo Calf Woman.
It is kept in a sacred place (Green Grass)
on the Cheyenne River Indian reservation in South Dakota.
It's kept by a man known as keeper of the White Buffalo Calf Pipe.

Marge, what a wonderful telling of the history and of the phophesy yet to come.  This is one of my favorite legends and I happended to keep her picture and the link below.

There a so many varied tellings of this, but this is the one I kept in my library after reading many, if I may share it with everyone it is at the following link as well as other legends and prophesies:
http://www.iwchildren.org/Story/trio.htm

This was so spiritual in your telling Marge, and your presentation was so respectful and beautiful, I loved it!

A spiritual awakening for so many. Even Ted Nugent wrote a song about the White Buffalo. Which has been born out of legend, into a chilling reality. As it has been born just as prophesied. I would like to follow this more. But little else has been publicied since its birth. A beautiful intriguing write Marge.

Sincerely,
Regina

Sunshine ~ Thank you for sending that link, I didn't even know of the birth of the baby, and having read the article, I have to tell you this brought tears to my eyes, and here I am "hogging" Marge's page again, but read this everyone: "She is seen by a vast number of people as a symbol of hope and renewal for humanity and for harmony between all peoples, all races, in our world today. I pray this comes true!

I thank you ALL for the kindness of your replies.

The legend of the White Buffalo Calf Woman has many interpretations throughout Indian culture.

What I write is gifted to me by spirits
in the vision tellings of the ancients~

The most important gift to me
is the promise of harmony among all people~

As each prophecy comes to fruition ...
we are one step closer to attaining true peace~

Within the path you blaze
Lies the shadows of gaze
Within the heart you give
Beats the trials you live

Within the tales you share
Breathes a silence to bear
Within the words you bring
Lives the melody you sing

So inspiring are your words and so beautiful is your heart.  Without judgement and without malice you seek to bring understanding to us all and I for one KNOW I am blessed to have a part of my life shared by your ever present vision of peace and harmony.

I love the introductory picture Marge she is so pure and beautiful and such a part of the earth. The second one is mystically the same part of the earth!

Love the message and keep it out there!

Marge, every October we go to North Dakota and go by Jamestown where there is a white buffalo.  It is shuned by all the other buffalo and stands alone.  Beautiful, but so sad.  I know there is a story about it and I may have even read it, but will now refresh my memory.  This is a beautiful writing, thanks for sharing,  ME
