Fountain of Youth

where might the fount of youth be
surely somewhere in a memory
folded deeply in the crevices
of the heart within my mind

where then perchance to dreaming
to sleeping and to scheming
to delve within the creases
of this living’s grand design

where I might do some leaping,
some skipping, in my sleeping,
and dancing to a foxtrot
with my sweetheart to entwine

where bobby sox and saddle shoes
were reasons I could sing the blues
but sock hops with a lover boy
would place me on cloud nine

yes dreaming is a fascination
filling me with sweet elation
lilting up my energies
of this heart within my mind

Very nice,
But I tend to have a pool of aged,
Slowly stagnating,
But I remember many of those images
You so finely placed in your poem.

Vas this was great, never stop dreaming, and living it up is nice too, no matter what age we've a long way to go. Fox trot, you go!!

I could not let this one sit. I enjoyed the spirit in this so much. I have a few creases and crevices now and It does make you wish for little white socks and shoes of your girlish day.
