The breeze through open window Now cool and damp from the rain Falling in soft patter splat On tin roof above our heads Wafts across exposed bareness Of your leg, half in, half out Of the sheet pulled over shoulder mounds And I watch you stir Not wanting eyes to open The pillow now brought to play Covers head as feet wiggle In squirm to find shelter And you settle again I watch your form And know underneath it all The expanse of skin The silk smooth touch of hair You are dreaming I wonder Is it ever of me? |
