August Rain with the sky all washed clean the sun shines so much brighter today, it is not just soaking us with heat but it provides a gleam of cheeriness to light up the cool breath we’ve been given and as the puddles shrink and their sparkle fades and leaf and tree deep in the glade sip in the moisture and almost twinkle with eyes of dew-drop like swellings all of the living things of earth seem to sense a renewed birth even near the autumn of days while they bask in these lovely rays rays that are intensely different than those just ten days ago that pulled the shades, closed the drapes and iced down our necks and throats just so we might survive their potency yes, these rays today are filled with joy and light glistening of promise refreshed with moisture beads as they dance upon this realm without and our hearts within © August 23, 2001 |

all of the living things of earth seem to sense a renewed birth even near the autumn of days while they bask in these lovely rays I love the times of year when the seasons are changing...summer to fall being my favorite. And I love the way you've written it. |

I do love the newness that a good rain seems to lay upon the earth. You captured it well. |

How very true. The rays from the late August sun are far different than late June or July. The changing of the seasons humble me...I also love the freshness of a summer rain. Well done! Nancy. ~Somewhere in my heart I'm always |
