Elisa’s Eyes

Life was living never loving
Until I saw Elisa’s eyes
Dancing daring never swaying
Perfect sight seen crystallized

If she showed up at the doorway
All the eyes would move to her
And I’d never miss a motion
To the one her eyes preferred

Eyes like Icarus seeking amber
Eyes like indigo, sapphire, azure
Eyes lavished in stunning adornment
Eyes luminous in searing allure

Eyes that somehow found me lost
Eyes I think I’ve always known
Like the sun it seems fore’er
Eyes that are my cornerstone
