I have battled the waves of loneliness
and sunk deeply into
the depths of despair
alone in these turbulent waters
with no life raft to cling to

But then the skies cleared
the seas calmed
and I saw you sailing towards me
You enveloped me within the safety
of your arms and I found
the comfort I had craved

How easily I sailed into your heart
and docked outside the door to your soul
I was captivated by your love as
we rode our own waves of passion
as my loneliness was forgotten
and was taken away
with the outgoing tide
