Inherent Thoughts

I thought once
of telling you
something
then I thought
twice, and
became
wary of
my own
mind

having tricked me once
waiting for the heart
to waver yet
again

how like my mind
to wend its way
along self
doubting

I thought once
of telling you
something

then I thought
twice, becoming
warier with
age, my
own
mind wandering
not yet siding
on dementia

other than
thinking of
you

"Silence is eloquence" (Cicero). On the other hand.... "..fools rush in.." on the other hand ..."Damn the torpedoes" Bob PS "What makes life so complicated?" (Deborah Kerr) "People?" (Cary Grant).
