Pull my chair up to the table All alone I’m sitting there I’d forget but I’m not able If I could say I didn’t care Yesterday when we went riding On her grey and speckled mare My love .......I was sorta hiding The wind blew stardust through her hair The sweet scent she left behind her From her soft and gentle skin It still makes my feelings stir But my words wouldn’t let me in So softly she touched me on my lips The moonlight in her eyes Then she kissed my fingertips A storm caressed the skies Lightning struck it left its mark The sulphur in the air Torrents thick the currents dark The raging flood just didn’t care It tore my banks and carved its way Meanderings ........in my mind And here alone I sit today Love .....is so unkind Now when lightning strikes I run and hide Preparing for the worse I batten down and take control Love is such a curse I look out of my window Scrape the ice down from the pane Hoping to see ....the sunrise glow A storms approaching on the plain jon Mewett |

Nicely done jon...Lovely enjoyed reading your words ~Victoria~ Every child is an artist. The challenge is to remain an artist once he grows up. |

*hugs* I haven't seen you post in awhile... now that I think on it, and am browsing through old favorites of mine. I do hope you are okay. BWA |
