Green

green of envy
green of grass
green of jealousy
let it pass

the green of trees
delights the day
reaches skyward
in the sway

of breezes blowing
joy profound
green is glory
heaven bound

even green
in weeds that grow
find a beauty
in sparrow’s throw

verdant emerald
of your eyes
immersed in whispers
of your sighs

green’s renewal
life-entranced
in the spring
of flower’s dance

green’s a treasure
of life’s array
carries vibrancy
to the day
