White Deer Of Autumn By: Noah Eaton 8/18/01 White deer of autumn, nature's shepherd of peace Prancing about in the timothy, a spiritual fleet Napped in silky milky-white, reflecting the first snow and sleet Sipping away at the crystal blue stream, waiting for the leaves to change hue Hosting autumn's annual dervish, under the accomodation of the Sun and the Moon Her white mane resembling the Moon, reflecting the anticipated snowflake rendezvous She remembers the wise words Morning Frost told her, glowing before the spirit of her father in porcelain "Nature gives all unbounded blessings, as do we learn to bless these gifts Spring will come to make anew, as will Autumn have it's essence harnessed!" She rejoices this warm sunset with grace, watching the sun and the moon sacrifice Feeling the soft cool foothill breeze, beholding the red velour flickers aflame the skies And Morning Frost wallows with the white deer of autumn, sorcery of autumn held to Nature's suprise... |
