Grandma's Legacy
~*Marge Tindal*~

I  have Grandma to thank
for the legacy
of tenderest attention
placed in the youth of me
Under such loving tutelage
she graced within my mind
pleasure-measured rhyme
At every chance of think
she placed a memory
in my well of ink
~*~

Well if that was not the cutest and truest thing I ever read I don't know what is!  I  got my interest in poetry and rhyme from my Gramma too.  Oh Marge this was just too dear, and I adore the poetry and form of this one.

If you have but one true friend when you die you were truly blessed

Ah Marge .... lovingly penned in sweet sentiments.  The same could be said of my grandfather. Many a happy memory was on his knee with animated stories, poetry and fantasies to delight my youth. Much enjoyed my friend!

Best wishes,
/Kit

Grandma's are heaven sent. I love that well of ink. Great poem.

May I be so brave to say are you really that young..? R.J and myself are confinded to the single laptop because the movers have all our things packed in weird boxes labeled in a cross between Spanish and English. after two months on the road and another to move in... things are looking dismal. I'll have to write you and Martie ... thanks for all the carrying

Marge, I think we all apreciate your Grandma and her legacy.
With me it was my Grandpop who wrote and I am always grateful to him for teaching me.

Dee

I wish you every happiness and may you always have the best of the good things in life.     a brand

Marge:  What a dear picture and poem.  Is that really your grandmother in the photo?

My maternal grandmother was a very talented poet and understood poetic forms so well. She wrote prolifically and I have some of her work in her own hand, which I treasure.

Dee~
Thanks love~
Do ya' suppose that's why they call the GRAND ?
They are, aren't they ?

BettyLou~
It isn't my grandmother, but I have a photo of her
that looks very much like it
- but is too fragile to remove from the frame for scanning.
I felt so fortunate to find that one on the web !
Thank you.
