The dance of life we slowly weave Back and forth over natures floor Music strums into our ears A melody always so constantly Sometimes a slow dance holding tight Then a reel with fingers briefly touch A sea of faces moving round Then why alone seems the spirit cry Are we really free in our quests Or does it seem the strings so pull With the knee jerking motion of the puppet true Skipping along but not free Do batteries move until run down Or a wind up motion till spring too tight With a frantic skipping for amusements sake Cut the strings, battery shed, key abandoned Reach out, touch with fingertip to the stars Soar away on wings of free |

Oh it does feel like this Logan, it does. You've captured and put to a wonderful flow, so many sentiments I relate so closely to. Beautifully written, a great deal to ponder here ... much enjoyed! Best wishes, /Kit |

Trying so very hard to let myself fly free, Logan. You put this perfectly. Such a challenge to get to be able to live your honest life. Sandra |

Now you know I do with "little feathers", still waiting for the big ones. I refuse to be chained to conformity every again, ever! I loved this and if even a handful listen you have hit your mark Logan (hugs) If you have but one true friend when you die you were truly blessed |

This is just full of wisdom. Logan you teach with each stroke of your pen. Throw your heart out in front of you And run out to catch it. [This message has been edited by shadow974 (edited 08-21-2001).] |

Works for me. Nice to see such a masterfully done piece of free-verse and then find a wonderful message in it that I know to be true. Excellent penning. |
