Rodeo "If you love me, you will let me go, I just have to rodeo", Then I carried my old bag out to my truck. "You know that I've just got to try, there's no need for you to cry- I wish you'd simply smile and wish me luck". I drove eighty thousand miles last year, riding bulls and doggin' steers- I just can't afford to pay no "turn-out" fines. Workin' hard and ridin' hurt, us cowboys do it in the dirt! In my sleep I still can see those yellow lines. I guess that I could get a job, but rodeo makes my heart throb- It's all ever really longed to do. I'll ride as long as I have breath, and when I close my eyes in death, Then you can say, "This time he's really through". So rodeo you've staked your claim, my life can never be the same- A cowboy is the only thing that I can ever be. You ask me what I have to show, for twenty years of rodeo. I never drew a breath that wasn't free. |

I love the way you try to balance a life as a cowboy and life with a loved one - One or the other always suffers, doesn't it? You're pretty durned good, Gunslinger.. ![]() |
