 Sometimes I don’t write the words I know you’d like to hear… And sometimes I don’t know what I should say… I try to say what’s in my heart, and make it all seem clear… But sometimes love and need get in the way… Circumstance has placed me in a room without a door… I close my eyes, and then I call your name… A hole appears, the sun shines through, where there was none before… And melts away my sadness and my pain… There is no doubt, in my mind… Of the love I know I’ll find… And I’m sorry if it ever seemed that way… and when all our trials are through… It will be just me and you… For we were meant to be in love to stay… For you, I’d fly o’er mountains tall, and over oceans wide… My heart already waits there at your door… And someday I know I will stand in love, right by your side… That’s all I ask of life, and nothing more… So, please forgive my clumsy words, and know that they are true… Words are all I have to use right now… But someday, I will show my love… I’ll give it all to you… And make up for this emptiness somehow… There is no doubt, in my mind…. Of the life I know we’ll find… When up ahead the road is straight and clear… And when the memories are all gone, and we write a brand new song… Our angels will be singing, what we always knew we’d hear… The road goes on forever, and the stories never end... |
