"Maturity" A faded rose, outdated clothes, a memory left behind; A drifting scent of youth misspent, all phantoms of the mind. Forgotten bets with no regrets, now set aside it seems. Gone with the tide are things untried, caught up in unfilled dreams. Innocent youth that looked for truth, now wise beyond their years; found a sea of reality that echoed all their fears. There's no return for things they yearn, now covered in timeless dust. They reminisce of by gone bliss; now each is all they trust. |

Wonderful poem! We can never recapture where we have been as it is never the same, but we can always go forward and make new memories. |
