The Rose of my Eye

~~~
Strolling through gardens
of
roses so rare
thoughts drifting ... sweet essence
enchanting the air
The colors ... the hues
all pleasing to eye
each petal ... a picture
make breathing a sigh
The trickle of water
to pool crystal clear
the frolic of birds
with nothing to fear
A moss covered bridge o'er meandering brook
'neath flowering tree
finds you ... lost in a book
My silent approach brings sparkle to eyes
your lips ... gently curl
with pleasant surprise
~
There in my hand
knelt down at your side
a ring ...
made with diamond
for
'the Rose of my Eye'
~~~

After yesterday's "surprise" I wasn't sure what I would find....

so I was pleased, very pleased, with this ending....

Well done, Sir!
