 The Journey I've been on a very special, magical journey And I never even left this my comfy seat I've danced on a carpet of shining stars I've wandered amazed seeking lovers heat I've flown with hearts that soared on high Watched entranced as two souls finally meet I've been to a land that’s full of awesome wonder And witnessed hearts and souls writhing in pain I've watched as they sicken, then fail and falter Before cheering as they rise up yet once again I've rejoiced as I witnessed your dreams come true And I've seen loves hope fall like a gentle rain I’ve had days when I simply can’t help smiling And tears? Well, yes I’ve certainly shed a few I’ve battled with some of my own personal devils Been delighted when I saw you come shining through I’ve witnessed lover’s hopes and silver dreams And all these treasured moments came from you I’ve marched beside you our feet falling as one Held high my banner my spirit and my friendship free Tramped across those hills filled up with sorrows And set sail across the turbulent and stormy sea This journey will never end it will go eternally ever on I wrote this to say I love you and long live your poetry Marsha Take back the hope you gave,- I claim |
