Today
I am walking

Pathways long tread
Or overgrown invite me
To explore again the things
And ways I got from where
I started to where I am

Foot falls
Echoes of treading before
Can still be heard
Along with
Sighs
Cries
Laughter

Ancient history
It seems at times
But still a part of me
Still
The heart of me

Today I am walking

Take my hand
And I’ll show you
Where I’ve been.

Not trite at all, but constant reminders that we all have something to learn, as well as to share...

I shall join you on your walks....

By all means... join me.... just as I have joined others in the words they share here. In many ways we are all walking through these things when we write and share....
thanks for the nice words... they are appreciated!!

I agree Helen...it is the phrase however that I worried about... I looked for a unique or different way to say that..but it didn't fit, so I used what I did.. I appreciate your revisiting and the nice words..  thanks

oh how those echoes remain and play a great part in who we are, even when we try to overcome some of them, in weaker moments, they can win

but blessed be the echoes that color us lovely and loving

To explore again the things
And ways I got from where
I started to where I am

-------------------------

Walking.....walking.......& walking
Choosing roads and pathways........
Who can ever escape that.......?

You have said it all too well Ron.....
I really enjoyed this subtle idea and the way you've expressed it.....

Thank you....
