Lead around neck spun of quiet, gourmet silk no comfort has gone unfulfilled yet still, I am (though I try to make light of it) uneasy in your world but you’ve an audience before you at this moment and I am paralyzed by the overpowering seduction of your performance. Some people never give us peace, yet we manage to love them. Great poem, Duncan |

You sit, entranced, a shadow in the light... this is wonderful, Duncan! |

hmmmmm. . . unapproachable eh??? well, I've found that sometimes, you have to make yourself known. . . great job here. . . --------------------------------------------------------- To the world, you may only be one person. But to one person, you may be the world. |

"sometimes you have to make yourself known" Reaching out to the unknown may be exhilerating to the adventurous spirit, but it can be terrifying to one who feels the shards of pain through thin skin surrounding a sensitive ego. Discretion may be "the better part of valor" or it may be a thin cloak for cowardice, a garment that the 'Recluse' has worn and become accustomed to for such a long time. Your poem.. delightful and very thought provoking. Nice write. |
