Freefall through Death anger is a terrible feel, comes at costs so unreal, comes at times that are surreal as you watch late honors sealed anger is a terrible thing held now by the skies that bind, leaving one to twist and wind in the wind, no thoughts of kind some days the Son won’t shine anger is a terrible string speak, all who have been to war, speak, and cast your voices for all of those who are now lost and tell the world just what war costs anger is unyielding your brother who still lies in dirt, your sister who shared your shirt, your honor, which was left behind, come and tell us, thus unwind anger is still feeling damn the leader but cheer the victor certainly you are not assured that all you left behind in heaps is what God intended that you reap, anger is still reeling no one can bring back your loss no one will ever feel the cost you did your best, but still you cry for all the days your buddies died anger is still ringing nothing can be said, or done to put heart in what wasn’t won [Dedicated to all Veterans, and my husband, who served from 1967-1977, and still remembers those he had to leave behind] ©Karilea Rilling Jungel 16 August 2001 [This message has been edited by Sunshine (edited 08-17-2001).] |

My husband also served almost the same time. He was a paratrooper. Thank you for sharing this. " I walked beside the evening sea And dreamed a dream that could not be" George William Curtis" |

You know we have a lot of your veterans up in Canada now, and the horror stories I have heard absolutely make me sick or I am in awe of the lack of leadership at that time. My heart goes out to those I have met personally, and those I have not, as it was so debilitatiiing to some. Thank you for writing this for the veterans Sunshine, they must never be forgotten. |
