When I feel lonely and feel the need to be loved
I close my eyes and search for you
I know the sight of your face
will always ease my troubled mind

Your smile warms my heart
and your presence uplifts my soul
Your love plays like a symphony of the heart
a sweet medley of tunes
that dance within my heart
and brighten up my day

I sometimes feel so fragile
like a beautiful shell that has been
battered against the rocks
and closes at the first sign of danger

Where would I be without you in my life?
A mere shadow of what I have become
void of confidence
void of self esteem
void of your love

You have opened up my world like no other
You have made me feel important
and restored my faith in myself
You have made me feel loved
made me feel wanted
made me feel desirable
made me feel needed

Thank you for this person I have become
for believing in me
and for showing me the way
when I became lost and
in need of guidance
for holding my hand
for encouraging me
and most of all .........
for simply loving me
