  Cave Painting

Water me down now
in the pool of life

I would float my hair
then find a cave
filled with ancient writing
cool and magical

Come with me hold my hand
in the back there is a candle
in an old beer can
we’ll cast light on the blanket
made from someone’s weave

Many have been here
each with purpose
see how the footprints
still turn the dust

Perhaps lovers hid here
and whispered
for now holding you
I hear the echo

We will trace the cool pattern
of something very old
painted on the stone canvas
feel how each line
was pushed with the strength
of the need for communication

A picture became a word
and a word becomes a picture
see how it is now in this circle
where time loops around

Water me down life
today is too hot for now
lets float our hair in memory
of another time
where the pool is clear
and water fresh
and the cave waiting and quiet
for us

In the dew of little things,
the heart finds its morning
and is refreshed.
(ee cummings)

Just as the paint is mirror of yesterday, so is the canvas of tomorrow being gifted with the beauty of your words and vision.  So superbly penned and so visible is the beauty of you shown in this wonderful masterpiece.  Hang it on clay and surround it with limestone and the masses of forever shalll forever be indebted to you.

This is definitely something to hand down Martie, your words flow like the water itself, and the visions you created were refreshing and actually cooling.  Just beautifully done.

If you have but one true friend when you die you were truly blessed

Martie, the imagery is wonderful! You've brought about the liquid cool of the waters, the feel of the long hair floating around my head, the mystery of the darkened caves of time...

an excellent way to start my morning, Girl!  This is a keeper!
