Praise The Angel

Today is just not another ordinary day
Give us this moment to say Happy Birthday to you
For it was 80 years ago the world received the kindest gift
So, we're here to praise an angel that's long overdue...

Through the years you've stood above all the rest
You've been way more to us than a gentle friend
Your light shines brighter than any star hanging in the sky
So, allow us to give praise to the angel you've always been...

Words cannot say thank you enough for all you've done
But, may this moment give you a true sense of our love
Just breathe in the feeling of how much you're appreciated now and forever
And, remember you're every bit of what our hearts are made of...

How lucky we are to walk through life with you
You're our lifetime and internal sun
For within us lies happiness and such a great warmth
That simply couldn't come from just anyone...

We must give praise to the angel we love so much
For the everlasting feeling we hold dear inside
From you we've learned what an awesome heart can do
So, let us give praise to the angel we've been blessed with in life...

We hope today gives you a better understanding of our love
May this day and these words be carried all year through
Let us give praise to the angel born 80 years ago
And, give praise to God as well for giving us you...

My mom is 81 and I'm thankful every day that she is around, I appreciate your kind and inspirational words and understand their meaning.
