From Shades Of Grey To Rainbows

Another grey day void of any color
as my heart remains frozen with grief
Am I mistaking my own tears
for blurring my vision or is it just
the rain slowly trickling down the window pane?

A good day for funerals
A good day for being depressed
A good day for being alone

Then you came along and everything changed.......

The storm clouds blew away
with the warm gentle breeze
A rainbow arched across the sky
after the last drop of Summer rain
My tears dried up and were
replaced with a smile
as bright as the sun

My heart had now thawed
and was filled with love
Happiness had now taken
possession of my soul
This was a day for lovers
a day for you and I
a day for romance

We'll watch the sun melt over the sea
as the day comes to a close
Then we'll kiss underneath
the light of the silvery moon
as two souls are joined
and two hearts become one

what a lovely day! I love the progression from stormy grey to rainbow happiness
