~Whiskered Kisses~

they say our love will never last
but my commitment's unsurpassed
opposites attract it's true
and there's no doubt I'm drawn to you

it matters not what people say
I'll stay beside you come what may
you're my catnip...I'm your cheese
you make my heart skip...what a tease

our love is here in black and white
I care not if it's wrong or right
they'll see that we're the perfect match
I'll prove to them you're quite a catch

what's that you say...you think I might
in taste of you find sheer delight
an offer such as this, my dear
I can't resist, but have no fear

though whiskered kisses soft and sweet
are tempting me I shall not eat
one such as you my rodent fair
trust me please, I wouldn't dare

come closer let me taste your lips
and wrap my paws around your hips
that's it...come on...move closer still
I just can't wait to get my fill...

burp!

~vlraynes

this is so cute, makes me think of mismatched people and how they are happy in spite of what others think.

This needs to be submitted to a wonderful greeting card place!!! It's so cute, too cute for words.  At first I thought it was going to be about an uncle's kisses, whiskered and all. Being a cat-person, it thrilled me no end.

Could you try sending it and the pic to me e-mail so I could forward it to my daughter, she'd just love to read and see the pic.

Thank you for the light hearted verse. Please tell us the overwhelmed varmint survived the affair.

Now this truly was so much fun, and you are just getting too good at these Vicky.  Marge ordered birds, well I am ordering racoons, as we sure have enough of them around this year.  That was adorable, can't you send it to a card company or something?  Too fun!

If you have but one true friend when you die you were truly blessed

This is an extremely publishable poem. There are magazines for cat fanciers that would "eat it up."
